About
Born in Miami. Raised sketching on napkins.
I'm Camila. I grew up around floor plans, earned my Bachelor of Design at the University of Florida and my Master of Architecture, and spent years at two Miami firms before joining my parents' practice, Borges & Associates, in 2016. I started Casa Chiang because I wanted to do the part of the work that architects hand off: the rooms people actually live in.
I'm also a mom in a house that gets used hard, which is why I have never been interested in homes that are beautiful for a photo and stressful by dinnertime. Function is not the opposite of luxury. Here, it is the point.

How Casa Chiang came to be
My parents are architects, so I learned early that a house is a set of decisions, and that the ones nobody photographs, where the outlets go, how deep the drawer is, whether the pantry door clears the fridge, are the ones you live with every day. After design school at UF and a Master of Architecture, I spent my first years at two other Miami firms, then joined Borges & Associates in 2016 and worked on residential and commercial projects across the city, learning the construction side from people who take it seriously.
What I kept noticing was the gap. Beautiful architecture, and then families moving in with nowhere to put anything, buying furniture in a panic, and never quite finishing. Casa Chiang exists to close that gap: one studio that takes a home from the first walk-through through install day, and then makes sure it actually works once the boxes are unpacked.
Casa Chiang opened in 2021, and the work since, from 12,000-square-foot new builds to a single galley kitchen, all comes back to the same promise: a space designed for the way you actually use it.

How we work
- We chat about how you live, not just what you like.
Pinterest boards tell us your taste. Your Tuesday evening tells us what the house has to do. We start with the second one.
- Nothing gets ordered before you’ve approved it.
Floor plans, 3D renderings, and every selection, presented and approved, so install day has no surprises.
- Finished means finished.
Styled, labeled, working. You walk into a home that is done, not a house with a to-do list, and designed with room to grow, so it still fits your family in five years.
- Kids, dogs, and cafecito are design constraints, not obstacles.
Performance fabrics, wipeable finishes, storage where the mess actually happens. Beautiful, and built to be used.
